What it measures
The Facebook advertising opportunity projection estimates the clicks, conversions, revenue, and ROAS a budget can produce using your funnel benchmarks.
Formula
Clicks = Budget ÷ CPC · Conversions = Clicks × Conversion Rate · Revenue = Conversions × AOV · ROAS = Revenue ÷ Budget
Worked example
A $3,000 budget at a $0.97 CPC buys about 3,093 clicks, which at a 3% conversion rate and $60 AOV yields roughly 93 orders, $5,567 in revenue, and a 1.86× ROAS.
Typical benchmarks
- Lead-form conversion rate
- 8-10%
- E-commerce conversion rate
- 1-3%
- Average e-commerce AOV
- $50-$100
How this calculator works
Clicks = budget ÷ CPC. Conversions = clicks × conversion rate. Revenue = conversions × average order value, and ROAS = revenue ÷ budget. Adjust each lever to see where the biggest gains are.
Frequently asked questions
What conversion rate should I expect? +
Facebook ad conversion rates average around 8–10% for lead forms and 1–3% for e-commerce checkouts. Use your own landing-page data when you have it.
How do I improve these numbers? +
Lower CPC with better creative and targeting, raise conversion rate with a tighter landing page, and increase AOV with bundles or upsells.
Which funnel lever has the biggest impact on revenue? +
Conversion rate and average order value usually move revenue the most because they compound across every click, whereas lowering CPC only stretches traffic volume.
Why is my projected ROAS below 2×? +
At a 3% conversion rate and a $60 AOV, each click returns about $1.86 against a $0.97 cost, leaving a thin margin. Raising conversion rate or AOV is the fastest way to push ROAS higher.
Are these projections guaranteed? +
No. They are estimates based on the benchmarks you enter. Real results vary with creative, audience, seasonality, and landing-page quality, so update inputs with your own account data.
